Iron Oxide was deposited on HNO3-treated CNTs by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) under oxidizing conditions using ferrocene as precursor [11]. The CVD was performed in a fixed-bed reactor to achieve a theoretical Fe loading of 10 wt%. The sample was reduced at 400 °C for 2 h with a gas mixture of He (50 sccm) and H2 (50 sccm).
